About Me: I have been teaching at different levels of education for the past 12 years! I started out as a graduate assistant while getting my master's degree in 2008. I taught at the college level every year since then, until about 6 years ago, when I started teaching gifted English at New Iberia Senior High. At the college level, I taught first-year composition classes, literature classes and technical writing classes. I also served as an advisor for student scheduling and an administrative sponsor for a student organization on campus. All of these experiences have helped prepare me for my new position at NISH. I enjoy teaching here so much! I love the students, environment, and curriculum! I hope to continue here for many years to come and to watch my students grow from anxious, wide-eyed, overwhelmed freshmen to accomplished, confident and skilled seniors. It is my dream to inspire them to love reading and learning as much as my gifted teachers inspired me!
